Breaking the Cycle: Understanding the Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES)

On March 31, 2023, join Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network (DWIHN), the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, and other partners for a training on Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on individuals and communities. Held at Huntington Tower in Detroit, this event will feature panel discussions on addressing challenges stemming from untreated traumas and ways to build resiliency through protective factors.

Led by the Institute of Trauma and Economic Justice, attendees will learn about ACEs, trauma-informed care, and the impact of ACEs on learning and health outcomes. The event will also provide small group discussions and panel sessions.

Registration is required, and attendees consent to being photographed, videotaped, and having their images used by Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network’s Detroit Wayne Connect. If special accommodations are needed, please notify Shelby Sprinkle at least two weeks in advance.
